We were recently contacted by NHS England with a last minute request for help. One of the new COVID-19 vaccinations centres being set up had its fire risk assessment rejected by the CQC and they needed urgent help.
We managed to juggle work around, attended the site 0800 the next morning, carried out the assessment and sent it back
We look after multiple schools some of which have boarding students. One example of unsafe decoration Richard found this week was a paper flower hung from a light. We see this offers along with; flags hung from ceilings & fairly light hung above doors. We work with students & teachers to have safe decorations and not those with could ignite or fuel a fire.
Two years on that 72 people were killed… This is a reminder that legislation NEEDS TO CHANGE! It needs to be tougher, more specific and NOT optional! #DemandChange
